Re: PA-46 Crash at Goose Bay
The PA-46 is the new Beechcraft Bonanza. Don’t think I have the gonads to fly one over the Atlantic in the winter.

Re: PA-46 Crash at Goose Bay
I have nothing good to say about the PA-46-600TP.
The haul loss ratio (take a look at the stateside stats) is astounding.

Re: PA-46 Crash at Goose Bay
N5EQ, a privately operated Piper PA 46-350P (PT6A-35 powered JetProp DLX conversion) was
conducting an IFR flight from Sept-Îles airport (CYZV), QC to Goose Bay airport (CYYR), NL. The
aircraft was on the approach for Runway 08 at CYYR and had been cleared to land. The aircraft
struck terrain at 10:02 AST, when about 2.5 NM southwest (53° 16' 46.931'' N, 060° 30' 18.013''
W) of the airport along the extended centerline for Runway 08. The 406 MHz ELT activated, and
the signal was received by the JRCC. A helicopter was launched as an emergency response from
Canadian Forces Base 5 Wing - Goose Bay and rescue medical personnel were hoisted down to
the aircraft. The 2 occupants were airlifted to a waiting ambulance with serious injuries and were
transported to the local hospital. The pilot later died due to injuries sustained. The aircraft was
destroyed. Two TSB Investigators deployed to the site.
