That is a substantial jump. It appears to be higher than both WJ and Flair and almost all other airlines. Porter means business. Everyone I know says it's a great place to work and this pay scale change certainly demonstrates that it's also a top pay destination for pilots. Well done Porter!

Porter has an aggressive delivery schedule for its E195, and needs to fill these seats. They have no choice but to pay this rate; otherwise, they'll have metal parked with hefty leasing costs. They are not paying these rates because they want to. Fifty aircraft between now and end-2024 means over 500 pilots are to be hired. Airlines with aggressive expansion plans, as is the case with Porter, will encounter difficulties at some point. It's inevitable This plays out again and again in every business cycle: People's Express (became People's Distress), Norwegian Air Shuttle, etc,.

I’m not sure what do you mean from substantial jump!
The new Q400 scale is basically the old Encore scale ( current 1st year encore FO is 59k but porter same year is 48k)

Flair definitely pays more than porter on the jet I believe, the scale is on their forum (73k for FO, 1year)

Westjet mainline is in the negotiation and their union is aiming for the industry leading contract, so can’t really compare them right now till new one comes out.

All these company that you mentioned have better health and other benefits!

Non of those those pilots I believe pay for the parking out of their pocket!

Again respectfully I might be wrong but I believe porter pilots deserve way more than this!

Porter's entire scale for FOs and Captains has a higher hourly rate than WJ (each level) plus an 80 hr mmg vs 77.5 mmg at WJ. Higher hourly. Higher annual pay. What part of Porter's new scale isn't higher than WJs for 737.

The 20% Retirement match at Westjet is a pretty big component of their compensation that can't be ignored. Hourly rates aren't the only thing that drives compensation

I understand Porter has 9 percent match plus up to 6 percent annual operational bonus.

And yet you push the Flair deal steady with used car salesmen tactics even though it is far behind everyone. I.e, what's your trip and duty rig? oh right.
