All you need to know is that a higher test score in addition to performing well on other elements of the interview will increase your chance of being hired.El_Capitano wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 1:07 pm
At what point in the process are you given a Compass Test? 28 out of what possible score?

Group exercise? What is the exercise consist of?highspeed wrote: ↑Sun Mar 05, 2023 9:56 am The day of your interview.
Group exercise.
Compass test. DECs get a shortened version as opposed to effoes. It is quite interesting. Multitasking with some joystick fun amongst other exercises I can't recall.
Panel interview.
I am not aware of the scoring system of the Compass test.
Good luck.

They present you with a scenario and see how you work with your team members to solve the problem.
You are assessed on your team work and decision making skills.
Lasts for about 30 minutes. There is a debrief which is more like a discussion about the scenario.

A very good turnout with significant interest from some really experienced and motivated pilots. Unfortunately due to recent events the South African hiring will be put on hold until required in 2024.
