Re: Air Sprint Questions
Hi Powerlength,
We'll be starting up another major round of interviews next week.
We have also just announced revised pay scales that become effective on the first of May this year. The new scales can be found in our Pilot Career Guide.
Cheers!
Matt R
Re: Air Sprint Questions
Those are reasonable gains, but what is the point of a 25yr pay scale??..

Re: Air Sprint Questions
We have pilots with more than 20 years with the company and fall into that part of the pay scale.

Re: Air Sprint Questions
Good for those guys...but they would be at the top of any pay scale regardless. You're dodging the question. Why are you stretching it out over a quarter century, especially when you don't honour years of service for upgrading FOs?AirSprint HR wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 2:59 pmWe have pilots with more than 20 years with the company and fall into that part of the pay scale.

We could have done the scale differently as we have in the past. This format and length is how we could provide the most benefit to our pilot group based on our business model and considering their length of service. Every scenario can be scrutinized when looked at in isolation. For us as a fractional provider, we also look to what is done in the US, where scales are common between 18-30 years.
All in we think this is pretty competitive for 12,500 lb and 40,000 lb jets and considering the overall package.
Thanks
J

Re: Air Sprint Questions
It is not as our process accounts for it with our updates. You can review the inflation discussion for AirSprint in detail on avcanada. You will see that our pay scale adjustments over time far exceed inflation.
Thanks,
J
Re: Air Sprint Questions
Haha that's a good joke. If you actually wanted to benefit the pilot group you would have an industry standard 10-12yr pay scale that ramped up much more quickly. Would not matter to guys with 20yrs of service because they would immediately be at the top. But this way you stretch it out and compensate your pilots less over a longer period of time. Stop misrepresenting what you're doing.AirSprint HR wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 1:18 pmThis format and length is how we could provide the most benefit to our pilot group based on our business model and considering their length of service. Also do yourself a big favour and don't bring up the US. Flexjet and Netjets FOs make close to $100k starting with far better working conditions. Their captains average over $200k.

Re: Air Sprint Questions
Had a question about Air Sprint IOCC program. How long is the wait before going to the flight line? And the WAWCON for the IOCC guys?

Hello, and sorry for the delayed reply.Aviator3925 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2023 5:50 pm Had a question about Air Sprint IOCC program. How long is the wait before going to the flight line? And the WAWCON for the IOCC guys?
The IOCC positions are not currently a flow through to the flight line unfortunately. We do have an OST (Operational Service Team) position that does flow through. We look for 12 months in the OST position and then we move the candidate across to a pilot position. We typically open these positions up to low time pilots who have completed all their required training and licensing. We work closely with Mount Royal University and they are typically the ones who we offer the positions to first. That said, we do have about 8 to 10 OST positions per year to fill, and they don't all come through the MRU program.
Currently the positions are based in CYYC and CYYZ.
Hope that helps,
Cheers!

Re: Air Sprint Questions
Hello YHZCL,
We are continuing to hire throughout the coming months. I believe we have filled, or are in the process of filling, the November courses and December will be next on the list. We do have a couple pilots based on the East Coast and if you are interested in applying, please make sure to apply through the careers section of the AirSprint website ( https://www.airsprint.com/careers/ ).
If you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out.
Cheers!

Re: Air Sprint Questions
Good morning,
We are continuing to conduct interviews and hire. We've slowed a little in the last few weeks as we've filled the courses up through November, but will be starting more interviews in the very near future.
Cheers,

We expect hiring will resume in May or June and there should be First Officer positions available in YUL at that time. Feel free to reach out directly to me if you would like further updates as we get closer to those dates.
Kind Regards,
