IFR Training Relocation

Post by callou »

Received an offer for IFR training in YVR. It states that after generic the trainee can be sent to any of the 7 ACCs for specialty and OJT.

How common is this? The impression I got during the application process/interview is that I would be staying in the Vancouver FIR. Thanks!

Extremely uncommon and not likely to happen so don’t give it too much thought.

All 5 specialties in Vancouver ACC are short-staffed. Some severely short-staffed.

I doubt they'll just agree to moving trainees who pass generic in Vancouver to other FIRs.
