Me too clause?
I have a question for Flair pilots. Do you guys have a me too clause? Westjet alpa is about to release their payscales. I think the type of money Westjet is offering is really good. So good that i dont think anyone is going to wait 2 years for a new contract. So I’m curious if Flair has something like that. Your CEO in an interview said airlines should realize the value of pilots have gone up. Will he respond or lose multiple pilots? We will happily hire them at Westjet or Swoop

Re: Me too clause?
I’d sooner leave the country than apply to the WJA group. I think their business practices are disgusting, and a new contract and a little bit of money doesn’t erase how the company views it’s pilots.

I dunno Ape, from what I'm hearing thus far, the new Westjet pay scale isn't as good as what you suggested was appropriate for Flair. I have a feeling Westjet pay will not come close to "North American Standard" when released!

Re: Me too clause?
Its going to be released soon. I cant give out the details yet but I have seen it and I can tell you its much better than Flair. We are going to get the Max10’s in future. We need qualified FO’s. Not only the starting year 1 is better than the Canadian industry, the jumps are crazy high. You will touch 6 figures in yr 2. Since there is no me too clause in Flair’s contract, I dont think Flair is going to increase the salaries to match the new* industry standard before 2 years(“the industry must respond as pilots vaIue has gone up, I dont think Mr. Jones will do anything before 2 years. Guys come over to Westjet its a great opportunity.flying4dollars wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2023 11:31 amYou do? You know what the new scale is? ****news flash****
Flair just offered LOA’s for 6-9 months
Re: Me too clause?
He clearly doesn't. Based on his post history he just likes to troll. Just a few months ago he was trying to get on at AT and Flair and now he's claiming come on over to WJ...flying4dollars wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2023 11:31 amYou do? You know what the new scale is? Re: Me too clause?
Ape, Why don't you give us the first 2-3 years of FO pay and Cpt pay and we'll see if you actually knew when the numbers come out? You don't even have to give the the hundredth decimals, just the thousands.Apestogetherstrong wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2023 4:30 pmHow do you know Im a he or she?5degrees wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2023 3:08 pmHe clearly doesn't. Re: Me too clause?
The company will also give an additional 10% of pilots earnings without pilots obligation to match. You only work 16 days max. I hope Flair ALPA realize what a huge mistake they made when they negotiated for FO’s. 18 days of work and pay steps are also negligible. Besides Westjet offers YEARS OF SERVICE. Thats right.
Now either Mr. Jones is true to his word and is open to increasing Flair wages and working conditions or you guys come over to westjet

Re: Me too clause?
A pilot going to Westjet on the new scales will still be $400K further behind after 10 years than they will at Flair. The long upgrades make a big difference. Yes, you carry YOS over when you finally upgrade but you're playing catchup to make up the difference.Apestogetherstrong wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2023 7:52 am The company will also give an additional 10% of pilots earnings without pilots obligation to match. Very few of our FO's are out of year 2 pay here, by the time anything beyond year 3 pay starts to affect them we'll have a new CBA which I'm sure will be quite competitive.
Re: Me too clause?
Uh are we looking at the same payscale? Because that's not what's in the TA.Apestogetherstrong wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2023 7:32 amFO hourlyTbayer2021 wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2023 5:44 pmApe, Why don't you give us the first 2-3 years of FO pay and Cpt pay and we'll see if you actually knew when the numbers come out? Re: Me too clause?
Not from what I see. Year 12 737 CA in 2024 is $288.80
They're basing it off the final year of the contract, that's quite misleading.
That's 2026, which is a long ways away and AC will be well into a new (and much improved) contract by then. Comparing Apples to Apples, if this passes right now the 737 will pay more in the upper years of CA. But in a few years, if AC opens this year, I doubt that will be the case.
