A wet CPL and your IATRA are the minimums, more is obviously better.

I got an email to do a camera interview from home, the give you written questions and you talk on your mic and camera on your computer, they review it later. I have 2700 hours, i never heard back. That was a few months ago

Hi! I actually work at PAL as F/O on the Q400. Most of the new hires we have, have around 700-800h.

And obviously, you need your IATRA or written ATPL exams.

What’s the process? How long does it take?

Good question, it all changed since I was hired. What I know, is that actually, when you are selected, you have an online interview (you record your answers) and after if they choose you, you’ll have a chat with someone from HR or chief pilot. It takes around 2-3 weeks to get an answer.

When I was hired, they contacted my references the following day. 1 week later HE contacted me to offer the job. It could have change since.

For base, it depends. When you apply you choose a base, actually they are looking for Q400 f/o in Halifax and Classic and Q400 for YYT. Montreal, they will probably be looking soon for classic F/O.

Hey there,

Hey. quick question

I’m very strongly considering the Q4 on Ytt

I have some questions if you don’t my answering my friend.

What’s the schedule like for YTT Q4? Do they fly to Montreal and overnight often? Also, how is it to change base? How long does it take to get mtl base? Last questions: how many hours do pilots do in a month/year ?

Thank you so much my friend. I tried to pm you but seems like there is a problem.

Well, we just had an equipment bid recently, so I don’t know what are the opening on every tyle, but my bet, you would start on the classic first.

If you are YYT based and want to transfer to YUL, it all depends on upgrades and people leaving. Within 6 month to a year you can transfer.

For the schedules, it all depends. People fly more in YYT than YUL. Yes there is some 3 days pairings actually out of yyt to yul. But you can bid different flights.

All the schedules are seniority based, and based on the schedule bids. You can have a full month of reserve, or some mix. All depends. Personally, i have around 50h per month in YUL.
