ATPL exams and expiry?
Hey all, just a question I'm not totally clear on. Currently a CPL with my IATRA written last fall and I know they are good for 2 years and then have to be re written. My question is regarding the SAMRA AND SARON, I recall reading somewhere that once written you have 2 years to obtain a 2 crew position or they also expire and would need to be retaken. Am I correct on this or can someone shed some wisdom on this please?

You have 2 years to obtain a 2 crew position or the ATPL.
Re: ATPL exams and expiry?
But there's single pilot ops with atpls no? Ex. MNR twin. Otter.

Some companies require above and beyond what's legally required. You aren't legally required to have an ATPL to operate any single crew aircraft. Any job postings you see requiring this is only an operator requirement.
The only additional privilege of having an ATPL over a CPL with IATRA is you can act as PIC of a multicrew aircraft.

if you use them to get your first 2 crew rating, they are locked in, if not, they are good for 2 years (subject to current exemptions)
