Currently endorsed on Airbus family running the PW 1100G Engines. The IDG is all the way in the core, yup. I heard you can access the IDG via an overpressure panel in the left side with a borescope and check the level. Anyone done this? Instead of the tedious opening of the C ducts every time?
If so, what is an acceptable brand to do this? Or that can be connected to the phone?

Any of the boroscopes I looked at, don't have the temperature range needed. These cowls are a PIA.
