New Minister of Transport
Seems we have a new Minister overseeing our shenanigans. Anyone know anything about this Pablo Rodriguez guy?

Oh dear. He doesn't have a very good track record with C-18, but he's fit right in with TC: pushing silly unnecessary bureacratic over-regulation. Can't wait to see what he can come up with next for us!

Here is his bio

There seems to be a distinct lack of any transportation related qualifications, experience, or even interest in transportation issues. The choice of this individual to the position of Transport Minister would seem to indicate that the Canadian transportation sector continues to not be a government priority.....

The last few seemed to be "qualified" if they could just spell transportation.Big Pistons Forever wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2023 11:09 am There seems to be a distinct lack of any transportation related qualifications, experience, or even interest in transportation issues.

The poor choice of transport ministers by our failed liberal government is by design and fits their agenda: ignore anything that doesn’t fit their so called climate goals for as long as possible.
Nothing will change until we get a conservative govt. Just my 2 cents.

It'll be interesting to see the reactions here should this government fall before the AC boys and girls get into contract negotiations, and the conservatives are in charge at that time. Welcome to Harper V2.0 and back to work legislation
I know it's popular here to blame all your woes on the current federal government, never ceases to amaze me how many dont remember it was the Harper conservatives that brought in the back to work legislation on the last round for the AC boys and girls, and Polly has already said it would be his plan of action (reference his comments about the longshore folks in BC).

Let's not forget that Lisa Raitt was Minister when Edmonton City Centre Airport tenants were expropriated with short notice. Oh yes, the province was also under a Conservative government.
To rub salt in the wounds, Lisa mandated a gold plated public consultation process fortunately after the refugees got Parkland airport running
