Stay far away..... you will never find a pilot with anything good to say about them. 703s are hurting right now... don't settle for the worst one in the province...

What made Keewatin lose their first spot?PersonPersonson wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 2:16 pm Stay far away..... you will never find a pilot with anything good to say about them. 703s are hurting right now... don't settle for the worst one in the province...
As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Well, since they’ve been doing it for over 20 years, I’m going to guess, no!FlyingFreighter wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 11:34 am Pros and cons for this outfit ? Does anybody know if they will get rid of the rolling duty day stuff ? TIA

I'll just say that you'll probably find a better proportion of Pros vs Cons elsewhere.

Ahh. Thanks for the updated info.
Re: Missinippi
Buddy of mine who’s about the nicest guy I know and has that very rare combination of 5000+ pic turboprop and has never chased airline, worked there for less than a year and he pretty much had nothing good to say about them.

The management came from Keewatin.
If an outfit that is purportedly the highest paying 703 in Canada is continually running a job ad I think that is saying something.

does anyone have firsthand experience at Missinippi? I just hear people say don't go there but is it the work conditions, maintenance, schedule, people? is the charter side any better or worse than medevac?

I've worked there, trust me it's horrendous. Management isn't really management. Bunch of clowns who were just given titles and told to sit in the office and blame everything that happens at the company on the pilots.MexicanILS wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2024 9:46 pm does anyone have firsthand experience at Missinippi? The 3 of them just sit in The Pas and circle jerk chanting "we're the best, we're the best" hoping that if they say it enough times the dumpster fire will subside.
Also maintenance can't keep up with all the snags and inspections .... agian due to poor planning by management. Prepare to fly a plane with 6 deferred defects on it. They have 2 planes with no AP, no tcas, no rad alt, running steam gauges

That paints a pretty clear picture, thanks for the insight. I figured there was a catch with the impressive pay scalePersonPersonson wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2024 10:30 pmI've worked there, trust me it's horrendous. Management isn't really management. Ha! I flew.a load at a well known 704 with 16 DMI's that said, I put 14 of them in the book. Try to be nice, nothing gets done 3 weeks later I snagged the living fornication out of it.PersonPersonson wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2024 10:30 pmAlso maintenance can't keep up with all the snags and inspections .... agian due to poor planning by management. Re: Missinippi
currently in the company. I agree witht the 3 management up in pas. Overall avionics has all been upgraded, comparatively, its better than most 703 in Manitoba. Rolling duty day in medevac is not as bad especially if you want hours, you just need to play around with start/stop time in conjunction with them medics, if you can time it correctly itll be in your favor. Maintnenence is pretty good, imo im not sure bout the old days. Realistically it is still a 703 northen ops. Bond wise, the current one is 1 yr 15k.
