Political Type Debates.

Post by rookiepilot »

Its been suggested by the Mods these kind of debates, like on the Israel/ Palestine thread that was just locked, are better debated on Twitter.

I fully agree. There is a healthy debate there.

I am very happy to take the debate there — with people posting under their real names.

As I do, and always have.

I won’t debate with pathetic cowards and trolls posting under anonymous handles.

I have no problem letting my name stand behind my posts.

Neither should anyone.

Then please do. It's always you that causes the interesting discussions to get blocked.

Let that sink in for a moment. There was a civilized discussion about the Israel - Palestine situation going on and it got blocked because of your personal attacks. We navigated Nazis, antisemitism, terrorism, free speech, protests and some labor laws successfully and relatively respectfully. And it got locked because *you* had to go on the offence again. It's bloody frustrating.

@Mods: In such situations, can't you just remove the junk posts and keep the discussion going? Discussion is what keeps this board going.

As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Your skimming over atrocities were among the worst I’ve ever seen. They were deeply offensive to multiple other posters and to me. Darn right I will go on the offensive.

If you cannot even acknowledge these atrocities there is nothing to discuss.

None of you saying so should have a job. Harvard students are getting blacklisted for signing onto to statements similar to what you and others said. I think that is an excellent idea.

JFC! CAN YOU GUYS GIVE THIS UP?

This is a *CANADIAN* *AVIATION* *DISCUSSION* Board.

Buddy was an AC pilot - fair game for discussion. Violence in the Middle East - neither Canadian, nor Aviation…

Further, you’re now posting in the ‘Covid’ sub, and this has no bearing on that either!
