Post by CanadaAir »

Cargojet Overtime paid at 2.0 X regular rate with a minimum of 4 hours credit per day worked over the original 15

Is this new to cargojet?

Lipstick on a pig.

Maybe their skippers will now make 55% of what wide body skippers around the world make, up from the less than 50% they currently are.

CJT has paid overtime at 4x the rate before and do 2x relatively often. I believe 2x is even in the contract under certain conditions.

So cargojet pays 4x when they need the pilots for overtime

Why not cut routes, reduce the fleet and close bases instead?

They could take on less work and shrink the company to keep the pilots wage in line.

When then need pilots cargojet pays 4x more to retain them
Odd company

Because you can still multiply a bad rate by 4 and still fall under what we should actually deserve on OT, and the company still makes money? :D

Any truth to the rumours of the mass exodus happening at Cargojet in recent months??? Hearing Westjet/AC/Porter etc have had several Cargojet pilots in every class recently.
