Re: Cirrus
From TSB on September 29th:
C-GDJL, a privately registered Cirrus SR22 G2, was conducting a VFR flight from
Edmonton/Villeneuve Airport (CZVL), Alberta to the Westlock Aerodrome (CES4), Alberta with the
pilot and 2 passengers on board. The aircraft departed CZVL and flew northbound for a short time.
The pilot decided to return to the airport and as a result of deteriorating weather, the pilot could not
complete a visual approach to the airport. After maneuvering in the vicinity of the airport for some
time, the pilot activated the Cirrus airframe parachute system (CAPS). The aircraft came to rest in
brush 1.4 nm SW of the airport. There were no injuries; the 406 MHz ELT activated.

The Canadian-registered Cirrus SR22 GTS X3 Turbo came down in a field near South Bend, Indiana, after the emergency parachute chute was activated.
The pilot was not injured.
This is CAPS pull #150, #127 save.

Re: Cirrus
If you own a cirrus with all the ifr capability wouldnt have an ifr rating its a million dollar $cdn airplane unless it an earlier model 22 but still would be able to do an rnav approach
