Unknown airport

Post by opty »

I welcome everyone to the forum. I was asked to find the place indicated on the attached photo. In the photo there is a Boeing 737-200 of the airline Nolinor. I tried to break through the flights of the entire airline fleet, but I never found an airport that looked right. Maybe one of you will be able to identify him by sight, or give a hint. I can note that it should be a small airport, but at the same time, on the other side of the runway there should be a building from which a photo could be taken.

Looking at the light posts it could be a little corner of Mirabel. YMX.

This was the very first option, but I couldn't find anything similar in YMX.

Not that it matters as your question is about the airport but that looks like one of their 737-400s to me. The engine appears larger than a -200 and is mostly ahead of the wing.

You're probably right. I have checked flights even on this board, but I have not found a suitable airport.

Just curious why you were asked to investigate this? Seems like a bit of a random question but perhaps there's an interesting back story you'd like to share?

Looks like their one and only B737-300 Freighter (QC), C-GNLQ, as all their -400s and -800 are painted in OWG colours. I don't recognize the airport though. I'm guessing somewhere in the US or Central America ? Do you know when the picture was taken ? Looks like a fairly large airport.

The teacher asked a parallel class. As an experiment. No one has found it.
