Re: E2 pax loads on eastern routes
It appears the passenger loads for most western flights are still only 30% full when I try and make a dummy booking and see the number of seats available. Is this true? Is this a concern at all? Are the loads expected to get better with Florida and California coming online soon?

Re: E2 pax loads on eastern routes
Every time I fly these routes they're pretty damn full. I don't remember the last time I had fewer than 100 pax on a western flight. I haven't operated in a few weeks though so my info could be out of date.aboveclouds wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 12:02 pm It appears the passenger loads for most western flights are still only 30% full when I try and make a dummy booking and see the number of seats available. Re: E2 pax loads on eastern routes
I flew YYC-YYZ mid day two weekends ago - 50% full.
YYZ-YYC evening mid week last week - 29 on the flight.
Morning flight weekday back in sept was 90% full.
Seems to depend on day and time.

Perfect for commuters. Always some seats avail. I sign like 2-4 forms per flight.accountant wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 2:28 pm I flew YYC-YYZ mid day two weekends ago - 50% full.

Dummy bookings? Man you gotta get out of the house lol. If porter was on the TSX, I’d possibly call you a short seller but you just literally have zero friends.aboveclouds wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 12:02 pm It appears the passenger loads for most western flights are still only 30% full when I try and make a dummy booking and see the number of seats available. Try the gym or a bar, it’s where people met before the internet.

Pretty sure on each flight we had a bunch of commuters. I know on my YYC-YYZ flight there were 4 pilots heading to E2 training.CaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 9:42 amPerfect for commuters. I am not sure how having low passenger loads of less than 40 passengers per flight on average are sustainable for the E2 growth plans. Time will tell...

Where are you getting this “less than 40 passengers per flight on average” from?aboveclouds wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 5:34 pm I am not sure how having low passenger loads of less than 40 passengers per flight on average are sustainable for the E2 growth plans. Time will tell...

Show us your “research” that says we have less than 40 pax per flight on the E2, then maybe you can gain a little credibility.aboveclouds wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 5:34 pm I am not sure how having low passenger loads of less than 40 passengers per flight on average are sustainable for the E2 growth plans. Re: E2 pax loads on eastern routes
On Porter's website when you book a flight and go to select your seats for same day or next day travel I am seeing this. I am not sure if this is accurate or not which is why I was asking. I am not sure what the reality is. If the average passenger loads are actually much higher than the 40 passengers per flight, that is great.

Re: E2 pax loads on eastern routes
I do not think that is an accurate method. I can see the loads and the average is certainly higher than 40aboveclouds wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 9:42 pm On Porter's website when you book a flight and go to select your seats for same day or next day travel I am seeing this. Here are the loads on my last few Western Flights:aboveclouds wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 9:42 pm On Porter's website when you book a flight and go to select your seats for same day or next day travel I am seeing this. YYZ-YYC: 94
YYC-YYZ: 132
YYZ-YEG: 111
YEG-YYZ: 125
YYZ-YVR: 88
YVR-YYZ: 127
YYZ-YEG: 87
YEG-YYZ: 52
If my math is correct that's an average of 102 pax per flight. I'm not sure how many pax we need to break even but I've heard 50 being bandied around.

Re: E2 pax loads on eastern routes
West has been good. The OP mentioned eastern routes. I think that they have been slightly lower than your numbers. But they have been better than when it started. Also, it’s all about how people connect to other cities. The addition of more routes will only improve those numbersChaxterium wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 11:10 amHere are the loads on my last few Western Flights:aboveclouds wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 9:42 pm On Porter's website when you book a flight and go to select your seats for same day or next day travel I am seeing this. I think my one nighttime return to YYC was an anomaly (29 total). The others were all over 50 pax.

Re: E2 pax loads on eastern routes
As a new jazz pilot I’ll be needing to commute from YYZ to YYC soon. By the sounds of things I’ll be making good use of the RJP program and doing lots of my commuting with Porter!
Re: E2 pax loads on eastern routes
My YEG-YYZ flight on Monday October 30th is sold out. So clearly demand and awareness is picking up.

50 pax to break even? LOL. Not a chance. Not into canadas bigger airports. Unless each ticket is maybe 1000$

Yeah, very flawed and a waste of time.aboveclouds wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 9:42 pm On Porter's website when you book a flight and go to select your seats for same day or next day travel I am seeing this. A. To get to that screen you wasted 5 minutes of your life trying to get a beat on loads. Why in the world would you bother with that.
B. I did just that on some of our flights, and can definitively tell you the actually loads are significantly higher.

You should see the E2s fuel burns. With the cost Porter paid for the jets, 50 seats is probably not far off.ziggy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2023 5:59 am50 pax to break even? LOL. Not a chance. Interesting to see more people going to YYZ than the other way around. I thought the loads would be close as people have to go back home at some point.
