The key is to “PULL” in unison. That’s how you win a tug-of-war. On three, not one and a half, Or on “one two three,go”. I applaud your drive. You may be doing better than anyone regarding getting the troops ready. Keep up the good work, because when the time comes, you’ll see.

Well, that's how democracy works. I've been living it here the last 25 years.

We can either get behind Charlene 100% now, by picking up the rope, and all reap the benefits, or not and pay every single day we go to work with a sub-standard contract for the rest of our careers.

I only have 6+ years left, so that choice will affect me far less than someone with 15, 20, or 30 years left to go.

We're at a crossroads. Make your choice, or it will be made for us.

Glad to hear the union leadership is already distinguishing themselves apart from its predecessor. Good luck to you all and I hope you can take this all the way to a victory. The company isn't going to give anything up so a hard fight is ahead of you, but I know you all have it in you! Every single pilot group is rooting for you.

Get ready for a world class contract!

World class: United, Cathay, Emirates, Delta, Qantas, Qatar, American, British Airways, Singapore, ANA, Air France, Lufthansa, Korean & Japan.

Air Canada pilots prepare for a world class contract! You deserve it!

NOT a substandard Westjet contract…

You are correct, I don't. We are already world class pilots and derserve as such, and it has been the rest of the airlines in Canada who brought

Air Canada down. Those times are over! World class contract for World class Pilots!

Hahahaha what a laugh. Blaming other airlines for your own shit pay and conditions. AC sets the bar for all other airlines in Canada, not the other way around.

First off, I believe apes is an Encore pilot but second and more importantly, AC was the bar that WJ undercut so severely in the beginning that AC had to respond by driving their wages down, much like WJ did with Swoop to “protect” the back door from Flair.
To suggest the other airlines didn’t have their hand in driving the wages down is revisionist to say the least.
Jazz is a great example of a Regional that set the bar in NA and now we are so far behind of our US counterparts and were the lowest paid regional in Canada, for new hires anyhow. Other entrants, drove us to the basement, often referred to as the race to the bottom, now we are clawing back up due to the loss of our main competitors, SR and GGN.
Hopefully, Encore beats us in these negotiations and we can increase ours after that, and so on…
As for AC now, they will set a new bar and WJ will follow suit in a few years, the beginning of pattern bargaining towards an increase as opposed to past bargaining.

Isn't that what you pilots all said during WS negotiations? And then they caved?

Don't worry.... if a strike happens you'll see the true nature of your union when the various segments all act in their own interests instead of the collective. Remember many at the top won't want to give up gains for the bottom if they lose out.

AC sets the bar for:

- worst on time percentage
- worst IDB's
- worst baggage handling
- worst in flight service for domestic
- worst response time to customer issues

The list goes on....

Unless you are working or have worked at WestJet over the past few years, you have no idea how significant the gains were in the recent contract. Money was a relatively small part of it.

Good point. My bad

Westjet did an amazing job killing the cancer Swoop

Those pilots really did show incredible solidarity

Now it is Air Canada pilot's turn to do the same!

Cathay has a world class contract? Are you referring to the D-scale?

This is how it's supposed to go. WJ made gains, now it's AC's turn to better WJ. Then it will become WJ's turn to better AC. Repeat ad infinitum.

I don't wanna hear anybody bashing another pilot group for making gains. Maybe their gains weren't to your liking, but the ball is in your court now.

I support AC pilots in the same way I supported WJ pilots.

PS, there will always be naysayers to be proven wrong (accountant). The back and forth is hilarious to watch.
