when he jumped, his headset was still around the neck. Huge safety issue, he could have been killed with the headset flopping around like that. sheesh, don't they learn, unplug when exiting the airplane.

Hope youtube demonetized his video for portraying an illegal act. I won't give him another click to find out.

Just a follow-up on this thread. I was curious today what the outcome of the whole things was. It turns out Trevor did 6 months in jail, lost his pilots license for a year, but now has it back. He plead guilty to an obstruction of justice charge admitting the entire thing was a hoax.

Did he actually spend 6 months in jail? Only articles I can find mention that was sentenced to 6 months, which is not necessarily the same.JasonE wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 9:03 pm Just a follow-up on this thread. As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Re: Trevor Jacob "staged" plane crash
Good question. I did skim through one of his videos after reading he was demonetized and he mentioned "getting out of jail". So that would indicate he spent some time there.

If you look on Pacer, he surrendered to the Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Lompoc II on February 5th, 2024 and was released June 12, 2024. That'd make it a bit more than 4 months.
