Volunteering at a Non Profit or Foundation?
Does anyone know where and who has volunteer opportunities for someone with a bit of time on their hands? I'm not retired and actually pretty young but have some free time which I want to give back to the community, but no idea where to start. I've volunteered in community based organizations and they were easily enough to find. If it makes any different I'm not a pilot, just someone which an interest.

I assume that because you're on here you have an interest in aviation?
You could volunteer as a spotter or navigator for the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA). https://www.casara.ca/

Bede, If you look through their post history they had a Cat 1 medical about a decade ago but didn't pursue it as a career.
OP, what area are you located in?

Could volunteer at a food bank or a soup kitchen. I hear they are super busy now.

All comes down to what’s important to you. For a lot of people that’s helping the homeless or animals. And for some it’s volunteering your time to help a blood-sucking multi-million dollar airport authority because you get to wear a white cowboy hat!

If you are interested in aviation why not look to see if there is an aviation museum near you. For instance in Winnipeg there is the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada.
