Not technically an airline, but adding for reference and more transparent info the better.

Year 2 CJ training CA, Airsprint

Total gross: $170,800
Net: $120,400

Perdiem: $16,000
Overtime: $2200

Enjoyed reading from those who have posted, very interesting.

Started on a 206, Beaver summer and twin otter FO in the fall.

Gross: 86000

Had a low salary at the begining of the year which brought it down a bit. Averaged 19 days a month with 5 weeks off throughout the year.

There is little to no tax in the middle east. The oil money pays for everything

While I was in Asia, my salary + allowances (housing schooling) was similar paying a flat 15% tax.
But you have to remember things are a lot more expensive over there, my rent on a 2000sq ft apartment was $15K CAD/month and I paid $7K CAD/month for 3 kids in school, not all of which is offset by the allowances paid. A L of milk was $8 CAD and half a loaf of bread was $4 CAD, and this was 3 years ago, probably double by now. While EK has reinstated pay back the way it was before COVID, where I was did not, they took advantage of the situation to cut the Terms and Conditions permanently. They are feeling the effects of that now, and I don't feel sorry for them one bit.

Do you mind sharing which trade?
Electrician, specifically gunning for working on elevator installs and maintenance. Didn't finish my apprenticeship.
