They've got to pay their tax bill somehow. Writing is on the wall. Sharpen your resume.

Don't know if you're right or wrong here Accountant, but get your shit straight. Every occasion isn't an occasion to hit on your favourite nail, AIFs got nothing to do with revenu. It's straight up taxes.accountant wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 12:34 pm They've got to pay their tax bill somehow. Writing is on the wall. Sharpen your resume.
And to the original poster, I have no issues booking on myid.

Re: Flair booking on MyIDtravel
I highly doubt flair is segregating their tax revenue to seperate accounts ….
Re: Flair booking on MyIDtravel
Nope. Airlines are paid 4%-7% by the airports for collecting the fee. It generates revenue, and its why most airlines charge their non-revs the AIF. Also, Accountant is probably right. With Flair not paying taxes, their lessors, and who knows what else they may very well decide to collect AIFs and not pass them on to the airport authorities.the_new_guy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 6:47 pmEvery occasion isn't an occasion to hit on your favourite nail, AIFs got nothing to do with revenu. The only protection their directors have from any personally liability with the CRA debt is segregating tax revenues into seperate accounts.FurHat wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 8:53 pmNope. If cash flows are an issue, i'd be shocked if they're even doing that. It's one of the first signs of insolvency.
Given the nature of their financing arrangements that are known, and the significant amount of extra debt they are carrying, I'd be surprised if they last more than 6 months in the current form.
Expecting to see some sort of consolidation with another entity sometime soon.
2-300 Million @ 18% (non cash as of a year or so ago)
67 million to the feds @ 10%
Ongoing operating costs.
Not a pretty balance sheet, especially being an ULCC
The old saying? How do you become a Millionaire? Be a billionaire and run an airline

@FurHat, thanks for the info. Figured it was a tax and nothing else, the more you learn.
@Accountant it does sound likely some form of consolidation is happening or soon will be. Time will tell.
If Flair is bought, or merges, or whatever that ends up being, it sure would be interesting to see the result of that. Lots of speculation right now. What the truth is, we'll see soon enough.

Okay. Seems to be working again for me. Might have been a IT issue. The AIFs are definitely there now tho, even under pilot commuting listing. Thanks for all the responses. The 1.93$ was such a good deal for so long lol. Shame it ended. But yea there’s always been a big debate about these fares on standby commuting travel. Cheers
Re: Flair booking on MyIDtravel
I just used it, had some trouble, first it wasn’t showing flights the should have been available as available.
Had to keep switching the date and when a flight finally showed up, I used the date tabs above to switch the date to when I wanted, then when it was there select it.
After inputting the required information, a pop up message saying back door booking wasn’t available or something to that effect, it took three tries before the booking was accepted.
Could be a myidtravel thing but my next booking on a different airline worked without any issues.
Also, the taxes are now added, no more 1.96, which obviously we all knew this would eventually end, when something is too good to be true, it usually is!
