Hi there,
I’m going tomorrow for my YYZ RAIC appointment as an airline pilot. I’m born in Canada but have been working outside of the country for two years. I added to my application all the information, I even printed a copy of my foreign license, my foreign airline badge and two letters from the direction of my previous foreign airline. I will also provide police certificate from the two countries I’ve been living at. Please note that I used to work in YUL airport as a CATSA officer and had a red pass until Nov 2021 when I left the country.
From your experience, do you think that the waiting time is going to be long with all the evidence I will provide? I don’t want this to affect my new position in the airline.
Thank you all

Re: RAIC application- Travel for more than 90 days
I would imagine you'll be fine. They will provide you will a yellow temporary RAIC that will allow you to work but you'll have to be escorted by someone with a red RAIC.
When I applied for my RAIC I was really worried because I had been working overseas for a number of years. I worked all over the Middle East and Africa and I had no police reports. But my saving grace was that I never spent more than 90 days in any one place and the application states that only places where you stayed for more than 90 days requires documentation.
Anyway I was quite worried but I had my clearance in two months.

Re: RAIC application- Travel for more than 90 days
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I stayed in two countries for more than 90 days. One was a sabbatical year (a little less than a year) and the other one working as a pilot for one year and a half. I will provide all the police certificates and visas though.
