I haven't heard back yet. I applied with 272 hours. OP how many hours do you have, if you don't mind sharing.

If you don't mind me asking, did you have any other qualifications besides meeting the TT requirement?

Might have changed since I worked there but you had to have your own Canada/US Phone plan, bring your own iPad and pay for your own Foreflight premium subscription (could later claim these items on your taxes as tools of the trade). Pay was $18/hr which isn't great, but you could make more money off per diem which was approx $3000/month. Lots of guys and gals split air bnb's or hotel rooms to pocket the difference. As hotels and meals are your own responsibility with per diem being paid every 2 weeks.

There is no pilot base, you are on the road all the time with 2 weeks vacation per year. The company pays to fly you home commercially from wherever you left the plane and will fly you back into the field after your vacation is finished. You can request more time at home if you need it but it's unpaid. The survey teams go south for the winter (think Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida), and comes back towards Canada in the Summer (Lots of Quebec, Alberta, and Nova Scotia projects) with the odd couple of planes that get as far as Newfoundland and out to BC.

Most people that get hired have some sort of connection to someone who already works there. They get lots of applications so it helps to have an in. It was the best first job I had, quite the experience but you have to be willing to live the lifestyle. Best of luck!

Hey,

Anyone else in the pilot pool waiting on a call? How long have you been waiting? If any current pilots that are there, can you provide some insight on movement.

Thanks.

This "isn't great". This is terrible. I know of survey companies that pay 2x- 3x more than that without having to figure out your own accommodations. I get the breaking in to the industry and paying your dues thing, but seriously...
