February 2024 Interview Group

Hey everyone,

I saw the active and productive discussion going on for the Dec FEAST group for Jan/YYZ and wanted to start another one for the February (and seemingly March) 2024 international group.

Anyone receive an offer just yet?

The other thread said some interviews happened in mid December, then a second batch happened in January. After which, it seems quick turnarounds for offers for high-scoring individuals. Congrats to them!

Our February group was the first round of interviews in 2024 for international offers, and I've seen someone on reddit state they have an interview this week/this last week. My guess is they are processing two interview groups for YYZ, then two for international.

If nobody has heard back, 2024 fall offers may be waiting until week 1 of April for the mid-march interviews to wrap up and for scores to be calculated. Of course, offers for spring 2025 may be offered later in the year.

My timeline was:

Online Assessment: Spring 2023
FEAST: November 2023
Interview: Feb 2 2024
Notice of Eligibility for Offer: Feb 27 2024

I have an interview next week for international courses! They had interviews available from March 18-22, so if they respond with results in 1-2 weeks, training offers in early-mid April could definitely happen!

Also, I believe they are also still doing FEAST tests this month, so there is a possibility they hold more interviews before giving out offers…

Here’s my timeline:

Online assessment: January 9, 2024
Feast invite: January 22, 2024
Feast: February 16, 2024
Feast results: February 27, 2024 - qualified for FSS and ATC
Interview invite: March 10, 2024
Interview: March 19, 2024

Based on NavCan timelines they've shared, it's unlikely candidates undergoing FEAST this month are going to be considered for Spring 2025 courses, but I'm just guessing.

1st-3rd week April seems to be a reasonable expectation for offers. Notice of eligibility took 4 weeks for our group.

I write my Feast Tomorrow and depending on if I pass or not we have the option to sign up for an interview the next day on a first come first serve basis. any tips going into tomorrow for the FEAST?

Don’t think this is true. Applicants not already in the “eligible for offer” pool may be too late for a fall VFR offer (but maybe not, and that’s why there’s a quick turnaround now for FEAST/interviews), but there’s no reason to not be included for spring IFR or VFR consideration. We are seeing offers go out for start dates a year away now. In many cases those classes are already full, though a standby seat is probably not out of the question.

True, but I haven’t seen anyone post yet saying they’ve received offers, which suggests that the decisions might not be locked in yet. Since it sounds like they’re racing through another batch of FEAST/interviews, I suspect they’re trying to get some more applicants in the pool before making a final decision. I don’t work close to recruitment, though, so that’s just speculation.

YVR where I interviewed the first week of March for national courses they said we’d hear back in 6-8 weeks, which would get us to around April or May for offers. However, I also emailed them to ask and they said national offers are going out over the next couple months. So, it seems like it’ll be a waiting game, hopefully not too long for all of us. If it helps, last year’s YVR offers seemed to go out around end of April and then also later in the summer from the post history on here. So, next couple of months seems accurate. I’m sure the second anyone gets an offer it’ll be on here or Reddit pretty quickly.

Just wanted to provide an update for those searching. A BUNCH of national offers for YUL went out recently. Both full and stanby.
