Re: YVR post-interview offers
Yes, for the course that starts mid February, a few people aren’t able to join the course so some last minute slots opened up and people on standby are being called.

Re: YVR post-interview offers
Any nudges for anyone yet? Haven’t heard of any YVR movement in a bit.
Re: YVR post-interview offers
Still nothing, though it seems as though nobody from YVR has recieved any offers (based off of here and reddit) so I'd wager that they just aren't sending out offers at the moment.

Re: YVR post-interview offers
Well there are two, Enroute and Terminal, running at the same time. Both start on Monday. They only run IFR once a year from Feb or Mar until Sept. There are generally 2 VFR courses per year, usually around April - Oct, and Oct - April.
Re: YVR post-interview offers
So I guess we'd be waiting until next fall to hear whether we actually get picked up for a course then, eh?

I had an interview in early March and we were told the next round of offers is going out in April. This was for YVR and other courses.

Re: YVR post-interview offers
They just let the people who interviewed in early March at YVR know if they’re eligible for offer. Luckily, I got I was eligible for ATC. They told us offers would be going out in 6-8 weeks at the interview, which sounds like the next round of offers could be going out some time in April.

Re: YVR post-interview offers
Has YVR interview staff been saying that this April/May timeline is only for YVR training spot or if it is for National as well? Not sure what you meant by "other courses".Habbit4848 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 9:59 pm I had an interview in early March and we were told the next round of offers is going out in April. Was told 6-8 weeks during my interview in 2nd week of march. So seems like it will be sometime in May most likely. This is for national not just yvr.Stratosfyr wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 8:00 amHas YVR interview staff been saying that this April/May timeline is only for YVR training spot or if it is for National as well? Re: YVR post-interview offers
Yeah, this is basically what I’ve been told too for national courses, including YVR where I interviewed the first week of March. 6-8 weeks, which would get us to around April or May for offers. I also emailed them to ask and they said offers are going out over the next couple months. So, it seems like it’ll be a waiting game, hopefully not too long for all of us. If it helps, last year’s YVR offers seemed to go out around end of April and then also later in the summer from the post history on here. I’m sure the second anyone gets an offer it’ll be on here or Reddit pretty quickly.Ypjilani wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 1:19 pmWas told 6-8 weeks during my interview in 2nd week of march. Re: YVR post-interview offers
Oh wow, you got them to say "couple of months"? We kept getting "several months" and "over the summer". Yeah, keeping in touch with other candidates so we can bond over the painful (but nervously exciting) wait.Habbit4848 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 3:07 pmYeah, this is basically what I’ve been told too for national courses, including YVR where I interviewed the first week of March. 6-8 weeks, which would get us to around April or May for offers. They rushed some national candidates in YYZ from in-person assessment to interview to eligible status in the span of 2-4 days during late march. Made me think internal deadlines were tight and we might have heard back this week. Sadly, I was wrong.
Best of luck! Will be the slowest couple of months in our lives...

Re: YVR post-interview offers
They ran FEAST again last week in YVR, and results have already been given out. They may interview that group thru the month of April before offers go out.
Re: YVR post-interview offers
I am going to have FEAST tmr. Hopefully I am going to make it and try catching up the scheduled training.

News Release on Nav Canada’s website today:
“NAV CANADA and CAE form partnership to train Air Traffic Controllers and Flight Service Specialists”
I read that this will allow capacity for 500 ADDITIONAL students by 2028. Pretty interesting stuff!

Hi all, I'm from Toronto and I received a November 2024 VFR Standby Offer this afternoon for Montreal training with OJT in Vancouver. I did my interview last month for context. For those who are waiting, I hope you get your offers very soon!

Same, IFR offer in Montreal at CAE for basic and then YVR after, so hopefully see you in August 2025!
Re: YVR post-interview offers
Hi! I'm in a similar boat (although further behind in the process) - I currently live in Toronto and did FEAST here but wish to complete the OJT in Vancouver. I'm currently waiting for an invite to the interview. At what point did you tell them you want to do the OJT in Vancouver? Was it during the interview / before / after? Thanks and best of luck with your training!airbusa350 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 6:38 pm Hi all, I'm from Toronto and I received a November 2024 VFR Standby Offer this afternoon for Montreal training with OJT in Vancouver.
