Dc4 crash alaska 2 pilots killed
pilots worst nightmare > aircraft on fire happened yesterday // pilots reported shortly after take-off . The converted dc4 freighter ,a ww2 vintage aircraft was doing a fuel haul to a remote Alaskan village. the aircraft crashed 14 km from Fairbanks Ak. in attempting an emergency return. the aircraft hit a slope. exploded on impact .

The video circulating on line appears to show the #1 engine on fire, followed by an explosion that blows the leading edge off the wing, stalling the left wing. They had no chance. RIP.
