E175 Routes.
Hey all.
Looking for insight here.
What are the routes like on the E175? I live about 10 min from YYZ and id love to fly that base and plane combo so im just curious. Would a YYZ crj have better trips on it?
Still interviewing at the moment so maybe im getting ahead of myself.
Cheers. Thanks for the info!!

1.…on flightaware just search up Jazz live flight status and you can see each type and where it goes. Survey a morning, daytime and night to get an idea.
2. If you tell the Jazz interviewers you’re interested in the E175 they’ll probably think you’re trying to get into Porter, then maybe onto AC as it’ll be quicker than staying at Jazz. Have an answer ready or just say you’d like the crj.

CRJ definitely has more variety rather than mostly (not completely) NYC flying.haxhis wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 3:08 pm Hey all.

Always wondered why because Skywest flies all over west coast in their E175

Re: E175 Routes.
What I was told while wandering around CAE is that the second gen winglets that are installed on the Skywest ones act like rakes and give better lift performance vs the first gen ones thus single engine perf w Skywest is better than the original flying bricks. I don't know if it's 100% accurate; just what I was told when asking around.

Hey this is a wonderful suggestion. Thank you!Timetoflyagain wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 8:19 pm 1.…on flightaware just search up Jazz live flight status and you can see each type and where it goes. Survey a morning, daytime and night to get an idea.

I saw someone else suggest that the interviewers may think I want to hop around and I can see where theyre getting that from. Honestly, Im just interested in getting in at an airline thats happy to have me. If I could have everything go my way id love a jet seat with a toronto base. Im really just happy to move on to the next phase of my career. I did ask them about if there was a training bond. I read somewhere on here that there was a bond to be paid and I cant afford that on my pay as a flight instructor. I hope they didnt take that the wrong way but honestly the two people on the call with me were great and I think they liked me. Fingers crossed at least haha.

This website shows you all the routes airlines have. A paid membership allows you to filter by aircraft type.

Re: E175 Routes.
It’s nearly all cross-border flying. LGA, JFK and EWR are the bread and butter…
Mixed in with that (for the YYZ base at least) is BOS, PIT, ORD, CLE, MSP, DCA, CLT, RDU, CHS. I’m sure there are others but you get the picture.
As others have said though, the seniority draw and then base/equipment draw will determine what you get so it’s a good idea to maybe keep your aspirations on the DL while you are interviewing. Good Luck!!!
