Re: Flair pilot program
If only there was an airline called lets say "Bonza", that had a few 737s owned by Flair majority investor called "777". And that Bonza airline said F it, we're not doing this losing money anymore! And didn't want those same planes owned by the same "777" company, that could just send those planes to Flair that they mostly own. If only.

Lol, you're so out of touch with reality. Lynx had 9 total. So far, WestJet has reregistered 5/9 of them per the Transport Canada Civil Aircraft Register. I heard there's a 6th not yet registered.

This is a thread about flairs ab initio program, what do Lynx or westjet have to do with it?Blackdog0301 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 12:30 pmLol, you're so out of touch with reality. Lynx had 9 total. Same type rating. Isn’t it clear?newlygrounded wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 1:04 pmThis is a thread about flairs ab initio program, what do Lynx or westjet have to do with it?Blackdog0301 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 12:30 pmLol, you're so out of touch with reality. By the time you have your A's and Type rating the program isn't really relevant to a student?CaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 1:07 pmSame type rating. Re: Flair pilot program

Sure it is. I think it’s absolutely crucial for students to understand at a very early stage how the dynamics of Canadian aviation work. Frankly signing up for a ludicrously expensive program to an airline that is holding on by sheer magic is absolutely craziness. It would be a good advantage to know where these airplanes in Canada are moving around to.newlygrounded wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 1:10 pmBy the time you have your A's and Type rating the program isn't really relevant to a student?CaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 1:07 pmSame type rating. I've found this to be pretty common amongst AC pilots. This notion that they're the best or the only ones doing a certain thing. Years ago I was talking to a new guy and he was blown away that we did NADP 1 on departures with the route being 90 degrees away or more. Another pilot bragging about AC having its own engineering department that assessed new destinations for things like, single engine performance on departure or missed approach. Things like a particular aircraft not being good simply because AC has never chosen it to be part of its fleet. Quite a few characters out there.......

Yay!! Thread drift instantly. We should probably discuss AC’s free beer and wine policy at the same time

I love Porter's response to that. Well played. It tells you AC is actually worried about Porter now.CaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 7:45 pm Yay!! Thread drift instantly. We should probably discuss AC’s free beer and wine policy at the same time
