One who puts their own selfish interests ahead of the future of their profession by sucking up to management & the corp. Pathetic

So poorly paid they depend upon tips to make rent?

Sure it might have been goofy management rhetoric, but lets spin it to reflect reality. AC pilots are so grossly underpaid even management lets then ask for tips.

Goes around shilling for the company as the lowest paid 777 First Officer on the planet

Thank you for calling it out!

AC's flag diversity hire whom the company loves to showcase every chance they get. Who overcame crippling racism and sexism to land the job she was guaranteed to get the second she told her 777 Captain Dad she was gonna go to flight school..

(I think the shilling she is doing is something I hope she comes to regret and as she gains experience and wisdom with age)

To be clear junior pilots at AC do indeed need tips to survive.. Except one 777 FO, her daddy can supplement her income.

It seemed the same to me.

No one here has said something they later regret?

What I question is why it wasn’t left on the cutting room floor. And why.

Diversity is a brag about being the lowest paid black/female 777 pilot in the world and needing tips to survive?

Obviously it's a joke, but so are the new hire wages.

To the many, many thousands on the outside looking in, it would undoubtedly be a big congratulations to that young lady on reaching her goal(through hard work)to fly a large transport aircraft on international routes served by her employer Air Canada.

Unfortunately not. And given who her father is, I am sure he's not too impressed.

It doesn't matter. When you put on that uniform in front of a camera for your company, you're representing 5500+ pilots and need to be cognizant of what you say and how you say it, especially during the most important negotiations in the last 25 years. I guess you can't expect too much from someone so new to the industry and AC. Complete lack of self awareness.

Why are many comments complaining about theft from their luggage? Is that an issue we are facing with our staff now? I'm aware of the AC Cargo theft.

The jokes on her and all of us as these corporate executives pay themselves handsomely and pay their 777FOs the least of any in the world

Hopefully she is wise enough to see she is being used to hurt the profession. What a joke!

What I don’t understand is why any pilot would agree to partake in a video like that? Is she management/management wannabe? You’re at the end of a lengthy fight that will likely resort in a strike with an employer who constantly devalues you…why would any pilot agree to do some PR videos for them?! And then not even wear the lanyard.

Why would any pilot do that? Same question WJ pilots were asking when the company made the 'why you want to work here' video. 3 pilots that were completely out of tune with what was going on, trying to get ahead of their peers. I think the right thing to do is create a response video in a somewhat similar/creative fashion to what WJ ALPA did.

That’s very true! I’d forgotten about that one. One of those muppets actually left for AC the next month too after singing their praises on a PR video.

Makes you appreciate our union leadership who are constantly battling for displacements that the company can deny thanks to the great ACPA contract

Sacrificing their time for the pilot group while we got this shill making videos for the company during historic negotiations. She ain't even wearing a red ALPA lanyard
