What does any of this have to do with "Encore's TA2 with some numbers"
Re: Encore's TA2 with some numbers
You know, Me262 takes offence to anyone suggesting Jazz pilots make more than Encore based on the average block of Jazz pilots, I will just have to let it slide.braaap Braap wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 2:15 pm What does any of this have to do with "Encore's TA2 with some numbers"

Re: Encore's TA2 with some numbers
If you want to get real technical, everyone at Encore right now is grandfathered at Year 3 pay or higher until their service length catches up due to the previous MOA pushing the scales up 2 years.
Gonna suck to be a new guy in the fall though.

I think you are taking offense that by MMG definition, Jazz is 77.5hrs as per collective agreement in black and white, and by definition, salary comparison between airlines need to be compared using apples to apples. You are however more than welcome to give us tables comparing salaries using the "historical average" of each company.cdnavater wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 2:23 pmYou know, Me262 takes offence to anyone suggesting Jazz pilots make more than Encore based on the average block of Jazz pilots, I will just have to let it slide.braaap Braap wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 2:15 pm What does any of this have to do with "Encore's TA2 with some numbers"

Re: Encore's TA2 with some numbers
It seems like you're trying to compare Encore's MMG to the actual gross pay of Jazz pilots. If you're going to base your calculation on the actual credit hours that Jazz pilots get paid for, then why aren't you doing the same for Encore pilots?

Re: Encore's TA2 with some numbers
A fair comparison is doing it one of 2 ways
Jazz at 82.5 vs Encore at 82.5
Jazz at MMG vs Encore at MMG
Compare apples to apples. There's various pros and cons to historical average or MMG, I don't care. Use the same system for both companies in your comparison.

If you go back and read my posts on this subject I literally said, I don’t know the average hours of the others so why not compare hourly to hourly in which case Jazz is lagging behind.goingnowherefast wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 4:43 am A fair comparison is doing it one of 2 ways

No, my problem is you insinuate that because you are blocked to 77.5, all Jazz pilots are in the same boat which is not the case. Then you go on trying to tell me the last twenty years are meaningless because YOU and 60 other Jazz pilots are blocked to 77.5 that’s all there is, the very definition of self-centred, like I said, there are choices and you should do something about your situation. If 15 YYZ FOs moved to other bases, all positions would find themselves at 82.5, you just happen to be at a base that has more FOs than Captains, Captains are and have been blocked high, I’m sure they would appreciate a lower block window to work one less day.Me262 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 9:50 pmI think you are taking offense that by MMG definition, Jazz is 77.5hrs as per collective agreement in black and white, and by definition, salary comparison between airlines need to be compared using apples to apples. The exchange rate on the canadian dollar is not something any employer has control over sans federal gov't . true affordability is a result of low national Net debt, as your dollar rises which in turn drives down gas ,housing , and grocery as these are all commodities based on usd. So keepin it real. dont vote for political parties that promise it will be free n drive debt up. That is the crux of the problem with socialism, they expect someone else to pay never them . It aint free . It bites ya and yur kids big time in inflation. Which inturn drives up wage demands at contract time.
