The new ADB's suck

What's everyone's take on the new ADB's being issued? It's just a lousy bunch of paper held together with 2 staples; not unlike a temporary version of something while you wait for the real-deal. It honestly looks like it came out of Grade 3 arts n' crafts.

Getting any level of pilot or ATC license is not an insignificant achievement, so to reward you with this welfare garbage, but charge you full fare is pretty naughty....actually I almost find it downright disrespectful to aviation. Is this a cost saving measure, or what gives?

I’d rather get mine quick. The only time it comes out is for medical, stickers, and PPCs

Personally, I don't care what it looks like and if it saves me 5 bucks a year in fees I'd rather spend it on a beer....but we all know it won't go down by the time the bill gets to us.

If you're asking about renewal times, I mailed my application in and would've had it back in about 40 days if it wasn't for the Canada Post strike. Quality isn't as bad as what I'm hearing, but it's a level down from previous version for sure.

I was more referring to the quality. I figured once they realized they dropped the ball, they might fix it. Kinda like how the ontario government did with their stupid license plates.

For what it's worth, I heard a rumour that the ADB does not meet spec in that the booklet is required to be stich bound and not stapled. If in fact this is true then you can expect TC will issue new ADB's.

It's not confusing at all. Do you think them giving us a junk booklet is saving anything. The main problem with the liberals is they spend a fortune and achieve nothing. Lots of money for no quality. I'm fine with spending money if we get something decent out of it.

Like their school food program that hasn't served s single meal or fed a single kid.

For the booklet, they just dropped the quality and saved nothing.

I never thought I'd say this about healthcare, but I'm with rookie. Make us pay "something" for it. Get rid of the waste. I'd rather pay for something that worked and have lower taxes.

I'm already writing a letter to the new government explaining all the issues that I've had with Transport Canada over the last 9 years. I urge you all to do the same. These letters actually do get read and if it's the Conservatives that end up in in power they will be looking for bloated ineffective government agencies to gut and rebuild.

No one would ever brag about holding a TC pilot's license. Has to be one of the world's easiest to obtain.
