No new software yet. For November, it definitely made a difference, at least for the E175. The bulk of pairings were either 2 day or 4 day pairings this month, but almost all of them received higher block time averages, shorter sits, and in general just more efficient turns.

Pairing quality is a function of available flying (schedule plus airframes) and CBA pairing inefficiency protections.Canoehead wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2024 9:21 pmNo new software yet. With current flying levels, 2:1/4:1/4.5 aren’t good enough to generate pairings with an average daily credit much above 4.75-5.00
Therefore, an 82.5 block target will result in at least a 16 day schedule, with the possibility of 17-19 work days.

Do YVR pilots often find themselves flying on the east coast as well? I can see it happening more fluidly on the CRJ with the routes linking up in the middle, but what about the Q400? How would that work? Deadhead on an AC flight?
