Applied to Susi Air a couple months ago and just moved on to the next stage of the hiring process. I'm wondering if any fellow Canadians on here have flown for them before as I have quite a number of questions.
Most pertinent one's are about what the entire hiring process looks like, how the licence conversion works, as well as generally what is it like working there?
And yes I've seen the documentary. It's what made me apply.

If you haven't yet, check out the book Papa Kilo. It's a first-hand account of a former Susi Air pilot, a simple and enjoyable read.

Hello. PFA an information package from Susi Air. I do not work for them or have more information.
Good luck!
This is golden! Exactly what I was looking for.
Interesting operator, though it's a big decision and seemingly a gamble for a C208. Not sure I'd pick it over northern flying here at home.

I have thought about applying to Susi Air myself, but then I realized being kidnapped and held hostage for 18 months wasn’t for me. You do you though.

I'll have a look, thank you!
You can add “Flying from Shangri-La” by Matt Dearden to your reading list
I read through that information package.
That job is the biggest pile of shit I’ve ever seen. Why on earth would anyone offer themselves up to that kind of abuse.
Probably because it would be an adventure and sure beats hucking bags working on a ramp god knows where with a dangling carrot of a possible right seat down the road....

I'll take hucking bags over any job where the chances of getting eaten by other people is any greater than zero.
