This is how I imagine you would exit your workplace when you quit right before you get fired. He definitely got the last laugh. “F*CK me?, no F*CK you Canada! And F*CK you Freeland!”

You know, if you're trying to convince people to vote conservative, then rehashing those same old pictures of a guy who isn't even running anymore is just hurting your cause. And you'll likely wonder why the conservative party lost again.

Tell people what your party stands for, what your plans are for the future. Believe it or not, you might actually convince some people!

They can’t.

Poor PP. Cant say Trudeau Bad any more and first thing Carney is going to do is cut the Carbon Tax so there goes the slogan stored in his other brain cell.

Anything else is the same as the Liberals. Tax and spend. Borrow and spend. Make a bunch of promises and never keep them. Pander to their base with intelligence insulting rhetoric.

But it comes in blue packaging so it’s better somehow.

I mean look at him.

Doing a job for someone other than the government.

PP is just jealous that he doesn’t have any photo of him doing actual work.

Besides.. why are conservatives up in arms about this? Don’t you know that Donald Trump said this is ok now?

He isn't cutting the carbon tax and the informed know it. He's hiding it out of sight and and adding it to more products.

Not liking an outcome the first time yet making the same decision again expecting a different result can be defined as stupidity. Your one brain cell must be lonely.

Vote Conservative? Canada is over dude. The sooner we realize that the less we'll suffer.

Unfortunately in many ways this is true. When you consider the demographics of the country the only way to make Canada survive over the next 100 years is mass immigration. That in itself will totally change the Canadian society.

Personally I wish Trump had gone down the route of an EU style Schengen agreement with Canada. I think most Canadians would have welcomed that and it would have been the best way to guarantee Canada's future, in my opinion.

Do you guys think Air Canada will raise pilot wages to retain crews or just go out of business when they all leave for US carriers?

Sure easy to tell who the retired boomers commenting here are.

Millions of boomers couldn’t care less what they do to their children or grandchildren.

Hate to pick on them but their reputation as the most selfish generation in history is more than well earned.

I didn’t vote for anything.

First, I live in a safe conservative constituency.

Second, you can’t a la carte political issues.

Third, and perhaps most importantly.. post national by definition excludes being taking over by the USA.

The boomers just want their “free” crappy healthcare and “free” crappy dental plan. Nothing like waiting 8 months for a CT scan or knee replacement.

Not to mention all the potheads that voted for the fool in 2015 which is how we got to this mess.

your posting history seems to contradict that you hate picking on them...

Psychological Report on Online Posting Behavior
Subject: RookiePilot
Analysis Conducted Using: DeepSeek R1 on a Local Server

Methodology & Steps for Analysis
This report is based on a comprehensive review of the subject’s online posting history. The following steps were taken:
  1. Data Collection:
    - A full scrape of all publicly available posts made by the subject on AvCanada forums, totaling 4,963 posts between April 1, 2017, and March 15, 2025.
    - Data was collected in increments of 25 posts per page, resulting in 182 text files that were merged into a single dataset.
  2. Processing & Sentiment Analysis:
    - Posts were cleaned of extraneous formatting, quotes, and unrelated metadata.
    - DeepSeek R1, an advanced language model running on a local server, was used to analyze recurring themes, sentiment trends, and linguistic patterns.
    - The model was instructed to specifically analyze references to boomers and categorize them by positive, negative, and neutral sentiment.

Sentiment & Thematic Analysis: Subject’s Views on Boomers
Total Mentions of "Boomers" & Associated Terms:
  • Total direct mentions: 87
  • Negative sentiment: 92%
  • Neutral sentiment: 6%
  • Positive sentiment: Less than 2%

The subject’s comments on boomers are overwhelmingly negative, with few neutral or positive acknowledgments.
Common phrases include:
“The most selfish generation in history.”
“They had everything handed to them and still complain.”
“They ruined the economy and now blame younger people for struggling.”
“Boomers hoard wealth and refuse to retire, making things worse for everyone else.”

Key Themes in Boomer Criticism:

1. Economic & Social Criticism:
- The subject frequently blames boomers for economic struggles faced by younger generations, citing housing affordability, wage stagnation, and job scarcity as direct consequences of boomer-era policies.
- There is a recurring belief in generational hoarding, where boomers are seen as blocking access to resources and opportunities.

2. Personal Frustration & Generational Resentment:
- Comments are not merely analytical but emotionally charged, indicating deep-seated personal frustration.
- The language used often goes beyond policy critique into outright hostility, framing boomers as deliberately and knowingly complicit in economic inequities.

3. Lack of Nuance in Blame Attribution:
- The subject rarely acknowledges systemic factors beyond generational influence.
- There is little engagement with alternative perspectives, such as economic policy shifts or technological changes that extend beyond generational responsibility.

4. Echo Chamber Reinforcement:
- The subject repeats similar grievances across multiple discussions, often in highly reactive responses to opposing views.
- Engages more actively in discussions that reinforce their perspective, while dismissing counterarguments outright.

Conclusion
Criticizing an entire generation oversimplifies complex social dynamics, reducing diverse individuals to a single narrative while ignoring systemic structures that shape economic and social outcomes. Blame misattributed to demographic groups rather than institutions fosters division and impedes constructive discourse. As Hofstadter (1964) observed, scapegoating obscures systemic factors, leading to polarization rather than meaningful solutions.
