Advice on Flight Instructor Refresher Course(FIRC) Renewal – Limited Availability Issue

I was surprised to find that all Flight Instructor Refresher Course(FIRC) courses are fully booked, even though I still have five months before my expiry. Are there any alternative options?

This is my first renewal, and since I can take the course starting 90 days before expiry, I planned to begin on June 3rd, as my certificate expires on September 1st. I didn’t expect it to be this difficult to secure a spot.

So far, I’ve found only three providers across Canada:

Seneca (paused until 2025)

Are there any other options I might have missed?

It seems the next available courses are in April and then October. I initially assumed these courses were offered at least monthly. I don’t want to miss my two online renewal chances because I really don’t want to retake the flight test after a year.

Has anyone else faced a similar situation? Is there a chance that new courses will be added later? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
