No need for significant hiring. No DECs at Jazz, pool of upgradeable FO is small and long time captains are retiring so all they would end up with is excess FO positions.

Hiring applicants who can upgrade quickly be most desirable? That may make excess FO positions initially but when they are qualified to upgrade would reduce the excess FO positions.

Most new hires I’ve seen over the past year were very low time so not upgradeable in the short term but yes, hiring with more experience would be ideal but that’s not happening.
