The battery factories weren't blank cheques of free money, mostly just an exemption from paying certain taxes for a given time

Hopefully looking forward to a long and stable career here. It's a great place to work. Though I have a nagging feeling we may be transmorgified into wearing a different hat within 5 years.
Watch out Porter in 2026; it will be more than a joint venture

Ha, oh man, don't start more rumours! There's likely something on the horizon however, and whatever it is, I hope it'll positive for everyone.

Dan, aviation runs on rumours and pilots are worse than the town babushkas.

AC has 100WB’s flying internationally yet didn’t get debt forgiveness
WJ never took any government debt let alone get debt forgiveness.

Covid was hardly a Transat problem and I fail to see how it’s in any way fair to the investors of the other airlines that AT gets free money.
I seem to recall the government divesting themselves of AC stock .. or did I dream that?

Porter is a private company .. we have no idea what deal they have with the government.

WJ got their Sunwing deal approved .. which clearly removed competition from the market.

Nobody here knows what the hell happens behind closed doors .. so let's quit acting like you do.

Government sold their AC stock for a profit as well as had the loans paid back in full. What I care about is tax dollars being given to corporations as it’s my money being loaned out.
