Wings Over Kississing
I see another couple Turbo Otter pilot ads up from Wings Over Kississing - I think both ads have been posted previously this year. They are not asking for too much experience and the one ad, that I think I have seen three times, is rotational at "(o)ne of the finest lodges in all of Canada" with no lumber of drums to haul. On the surface it sounds like a decent position or better, and a little strange that no one apparently wants to rotate to one of Canada's finest lodges...
I have been away from float flying for awhile, but I saw some reasonable salaries posted last spring that gave me hope the pay at least was improving. Is finding float pilots with 1000TT/500Floats really this difficult these days? Typical pilot movement that just happens to be during the summer?

Re: Wings Over Kississing
They are quoting $300 pr day. Thats Beaver pay. Should be at $500 a day if they are busy. $600 plus for MNR work.
Re: Wings Over Kississing
Shouldn’t be a penny less than 750/day for an otter pilot. They’re not exactly growing on trees. I feel like that 300/day is not accurate on the posting

I flew here a few years back and loved it. Great people decent variety in flying. Destinations Included work in southern NWT, Nunavut and northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Beautiful country up there. The lodges in question are very nice and agreed with the above poster. $750 a day at least.

I didn't believe the $300/day talk until I went to look at the job site link myself. No wonder nobody wants that job. I hope the job stays open at that embarrassing rate.
Re: Wings Over Kississing
I flew a Super Cub for just shy of $300/day plus all expenses 15 years ago.
