How long is it taking for TC to process class 1 meds these days?

I am in the Ottawa region and pretty resolute on pursuing my career as a pilot. I've been recently reading some horror stories about TC delaying cat 1 meds for many months but a lot of those posts are from the year 2020-2022. Is it still the case? I've heard that TC is sending out cat 1 certificates through email now instead of regular post.

I feel like that it will be better off if I start my PPL training right after I get my class 1 so it would be really nice if someone can tell me what is the actual processing time at TC these days? I don't have any health issues. The only slight issue is that I have seasonal asthma, but it's very well controlled.
