Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Chief Flight Instructor (ACFI) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist the Chief Flight Instructor in managing flight training operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering an exceptional learning experience for our students. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Chief Flight Instructor in the overall management of flight training operations.
Provide flight instruction to students in accordance with Transport Canada regulations and company policies.
Conduct ground school sessions and facilitate student learning through effective teaching methods.
Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their training experience.
Ensure that all training activities meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the development and implementation of training programs and curricula.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and training activities.
Support the recruitment, training, and mentoring of new flight instructors.
Foster a positive and professional learning environment for students and staff.
Participate in safety briefings, training meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Valid Canadian Flight Instructor Rating (Class 1 or 2).
Minimum of 500 hours of total flight time, with at least 200 hours of flight instruction time.
Strong knowledge of Transport Canada regulations and flight training standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is an asset.
A passion for aviation and a commitment to student success.
