Post by Yowdriver »

Anyone else got an email saying that AC will mostly only hire jazz until 2026?

If true, sounds like they have to because they skipped over Jazz pilots all year and won’t make the ratio if they don’t! I can’t imagine that would look good for the ULP currently on going at the CIRB!

Pretty sure there is nothing new here... in the last 2 years, the fall/end of year classes have typically been only Jazz hires, and the rest of the year no Jazz and all OTS

Should be 30% now, I doubt many if any Jazz pilots are still around that are part of the 60% group.

There are still quite a bit cause MOS-7 was Sept 2023 and they barely started hiring guys that joined Jan-Feb of 2023….

Oh, ok. It would be nice if the information was available, I just figured most would be gone by now.
So, if a guy were to look at the seniority list, any hired before Sept 23 are 60%, after that are 30%. Of those, some are not going, some maybe still not eligible and some PFOd, very difficult to come up with a timeframe where no more 60% quota exist.
I assume they have to take from the 60% cohort before the 30% cohort provided all are “eligible”, how would that work, if a pilot hired Feb 23 is still under 2000 hours, they could be bypassed and then they take from the 30% group. Annual hiring ratio could be anywhere between 60-30% based on this.
