Interview Process
Hello everyone. Hope you're all doing fantastic. I was wondering what the COMPASS testing looks like at Air Transat. There are many tests available out there. I am currently using the free website pilotest.com. I also came across the paid version of Air Transats specific test on pilotassessments.com but that has a lot of tests which I believe arent part of the real test. Can someone guide whats the best way to go about it and also give any other tips regarding the whole process please? Thank you!
Re: Interview Process
Not to thread hijack but instead of starting another one, along with the info OP requested, what is the hiring amounts/timeline for 2026? I'm guessing they're looking to start hiring again after the TA vote?

Re: Interview Process
TS was told by an independant advisor that we are over staffed, as such hiring and promotions stalled in 2025. With a number of retirements, still some going to AC, and with the new augment rules to come in effect starting 2027, we'll see hiring start again this year.
Re: Interview Process
I'll bet you they won't hire as much as they have to and they'll "optimize" us.330heavy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 05, 2026 2:45 pm TS was told by an independant advisor that we are over staffed, as such hiring and promotions stalled in 2025. Re: Interview Process
We will need more crews for the new augmented rules phased in January 2027 and 2030. Road show hinted at about 100 just for that. No more 4 pilot augments.
100% might create a few positions, we won't know until the pairings with the new rule get published, sometimes this Spring is my guess. What might happen there is flights with DHs get pushed up the seniority list too. All will depend how they use the open time and how the new scheduling window works out.
Lots of new destinations, some fleet shuffling with 2, I think, 330s leaving and the rumour is that 3 LRs are coming back sooner than later with "new" engines.

As you know, the union makes its own forecast. The company makes its own, and if BCG is still around, they'll do whatever they can to not hire as many as the union would like.TFTMB heavy wrote: ↑Tue Jan 06, 2026 6:11 am We will need more crews for the new augmented rules phased in January 2027 and 2030. Interesting that 2 330s are leaving. I'm wondering what will happen to our Rio, Tirana, Istanbul, Rome, Lamezia, Venice...

Re: Interview Process
From what I was told those were short term leases when the 321LR engines happened and they needed tails to keep things going. I think those are on their last Summer? With LRs coming back some flying covered by 330s will switch back to the LR and free up some 330s. Just all guesses btw, management hasn't been clear on all of this.Babar350 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 7:57 amAs you know, the union makes its own forecast. Re: Interview Process
So based on everything that I hear so far, I am not expecting a call back anytime soon? What do y'all think, hiring again maybe around the end of this year? Also do they focus on Jet time, PIC time more or who applied first?
Re: Interview Process
They'll hire what best fit the pilot's population.
Others will give more infos on hiring and upgrades expected in 2026.
