C-FEZR, a Piper PA-22-135 (tail wheel equipped), was being operated on a local flight from High
River Aerodrome (CEN4), AB. Upon touchdown at CEN4, lateral control was lost and the aircraft
ground looped. The pilot, who was the sole occupant, was not injured and was able to exit the
aircraft. The aircraft was substantially damaged.

Tailwheel instructors/checkout pilots do need nerves of steel in my opinion. They have to decide how long to wait before taking over, giving less time to save the situation.......

C-GNRE, a privately registered Maule M-5-220C (Lunar Rocket), was performing a training flight, under visual flight rules, at Cranbrook/Canadian Rockies Airport (CYXC), BC, with 1 instructor and 1 student on board. The flight consisted of circuits performed on the grass adjacent to and on the pavement of Runway 16. The winds were reported up to 8 knots from the east. At approximately 1230 PDT the aircraft attempted to perform a full stop landing on Runway 16. During the landing roll, directional control of the aircraft was lost. The aircraft ground looped following the loss of control, resulting in the collapse of the right main landing gear. The right wingtip, propeller, and underside of the aircraft were subsequently damaged. There were no injuries.

C-GUDE, a privately registered Piper PA-20X (Pacer), was being flown from Prince George Airport (CYXS), BC, under visual flight rules, to Vanderhoof Aerodrome (CAU4), BC, with only the pilot on board. Upon touchdown at CAU4, control was lost and the aircraft's right wing contacted the ground, followed by the propeller. The aircraft then flipped over coming to a rest upside down on the left edge of the runway. The emergency locator transmitter (ELT) activated and local emergency services responded. The pilot was not injured and was able to egress the aircraft. The aircraft was substantially damaged. The aircraft was moved to an approved maintenance organization (AMO) at the airport. Upon inspection, it was determined that there was damage to both wings, the rudder, the propeller, and the fuselage.

C-GAUT, a Bellanca 7GCBC, was being operated on a local training flight from Three Hills Aerodrome (CEN3), AB. Upon touchdown at CEN3, control was lost, and the left wing contacted the runway. The aircraft departed the runway but remained upright. The aircraft was taxied back to the apron under its own power. Neither the pilots were injured and they were able to exit the aircraft. The aircraft was substantially damaged.

N7050K, a privately operated PA20, was being operated on a visual flight rules (VFR) flight from Fort Nelson Airport (CYYE), BC, to Fort St. John Airport (CYXJ), AB. Upon touchdown, lateral control was lost and the aircraft ground looped. There were no injuries. The aircraft was substantially damaged.

C-GXTW, a privately registered, amateur-built Bushmaster, was being operated on a local flight from Grand Prairie Airport (CYQU), AB. Upon touchdown on landing at CYQU, lateral control was lost and the aircraft ground looped. There were no injuries. The aircraft was substantially damaged.
