Line Technician/Junior Refueller

YYJ FBO Services, a division of VIH Aviation Group, has an opening for a Line Technician/Junior Refueller to join their growing team.

This role is primarily responsible for the servicing and refueling of aircraft at airport facilities. They adhere to all standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure all work is performed safely and is supported by following established procedures and protocols. This is a full-time position based out of North Saanich, BC.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform daily quality control checks on equipment.
Perform aircraft refueling in safe and efficient manner.
Responsible for accurate accounting of fuel transactions.
Maintain equipment in clean and functional condition.
Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel.
Assist with the loading and unloading of luggage/freight on to a multitude of different aircraft types.
Lift and move up to 50 lbs. of material and equipment.
Calculate fuel distributions for a variety of aircraft.
Drive a variety of light and heavy-duty vehicles.
Provide an upstanding level of customer service both on the airfield and at the front desk.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
Must be able to provide a five-year drivers abstract
Must be able to accommodate a modified rotational schedule covering seven-days-per-week, 365-days-per-year operation which includes scheduled on-call shifts
Must reside within a maximum average of forty-five (45) minutes’ drive to Victoria International Airport
Additional Assets:
Experience working with aircraft and within an airport environment.
Class 3 or 1 Drivers License with Air Brake Endorsement - an asset
Experience working with and handling various types of fuel
Ability to qualify and hold Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC Clearance)
Airbrakes an asset
Any airport work experience a great asset
Commercial pilots in training considered an asset

The successful candidates will receive class 3 , airbrakes , radio license and all required training during the term of their employment.
*Those meeting all the requirements for immediate operation at the YYJ Airport will be given special consideration.
