Aircraft Maintenance Engineer- M1


BASIC FUNCTION
The basic function of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is to inspect and perform maintenance on the company fleet and third-party aircraft.
AME is to perform work that adheres to company policies and procedures and keeps in line with manufacturer’s recommendations and regulatory requirements.

WORK EXPECTATIONS
• Complete all work orders, check sheets and records accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements and company manuals.
• Ability to work in a team setting, but also complete projects on an unsupervised individual basis
• Have strong time management and organizational skills
• Showcase consistent technical aptitude and work ethic
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe working environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The AME/AME Apprentice must be able to adapt to sudden changes, make quick decisions, and remain calm and pleasant.
They will work mostly within the hangar and on the company ramp. They will be required to work outdoors occasionally even in harsh conditions and remote locations.
During our busy summer, the AME will need to be willing to work afternoon shift beginning at 1600. This shift schedule starts in June and ends in September.

QUALIFICATIONS
In order to qualify for this position the applicant must meet the following criteria:
• Must have TC Accredited AME M training course and or a valid AME-M1 licence. Preference given to those with previous experience working on Seaplanes and radial engines.
• Structures experience is an asset
• Must be legally able to work in Canada
• Have a valid class 5 driver’s license
• Be computer literate
• Comprehend and Communicate proficiently in English
• Be able to lift 50 lbs
• Have their own transportation/tools excluding specialized tool
