I can’t recall anyone going to Porter in a very long time. Those that wanted to leave have left.

This is the first time this website has worked for me in several days.

Ya no need to get a E1 rating to come to porter anymore. Thing of the past.

I can’t speak to whether or not they advertise but essentially if you have the qualifications and figure you’re ok to risk it, DEC is likely available in every class.
The reason I say risk it, the union advises that if you are not successful, the contract states you can be trained in to your previous position which was non existent, essentially no protection from dismissal.
They recommend you do the right seat and bid in to the left seat right after, I’ve seen new hires back two months after their initial training for upgrade.

Ahh. Wouldn't it benefit the company to offer them employment as an FO and train them accordingly should they become unsuccessful in their DEC training? Unless there are no FO positions then I could understand releasing them. Also maybe counting the failure to qualify against the 2 attempt rule (should that exist).
