Airports where you can walk across the US border

Hi all,

With the unfortunate closure of Piny Pinecreek airport, we unfortunately lost a convenient airport for ESTA passengers to cross the US border.

Are there any other location in Canada where one could land in Canada, walk across the US border at a ground station, and then return to the airplane?

Or, alternatively, a location where there are 2 airports close by and border crossing can be done after a short taxi ride?

Preferably in the Prairies region, but open to any option.

To clarify, this is for private aircraft where ESTA / Visa Waiver Program holders are not eligible to fly into the US as a passenger.

KS28, int’l peace gardens south of Brandon. There’s a ground border crossing you can walk through. And the peace gardens are a nice afternoon trip.

My info is about 15 years old, however.

It was in the 1990s but I rented a car in Brandon Manitoba and drove to Rolla North Dakota for a day. Looked at county and town records of properties my great grandfather owned. At that time they didn't even ask yo see our ID.

I have not looked into this in detail, but CKK3 shows in the CFS to literally be on the 49th parallel. CFS shows customs numbers for the US and Canada which seems to solve your problem exactly. Almost like it was designed for this purpose.

It is grass though.

Fort Francis isnt too far. 7km walk? About an 1hr 15 ish. Or quick taxi.

Thanks! The grass isn't an issue but the limited/lack off winter maintenance might be important for winter trips. I"ll put it on my list. Nice to see there are still quite a few options!
