Well you're making a good first attempt to break into the business, however you do need to refine your technique a little. Here's a website that may help move things along a little faster.

Powerplante make sure you get some float time and a ATPL. Ontario requires a minimum of a 1000 hrs on floats to be considered. Some multi-IFR time wouldn't hurt as well.

We will be doing a fair bit of hiring over the next 3 to 5 years as a lot of the older senior Captains are looking at a pension.

Of course stopping by one of the many bases and taking the boys out for free beers will go a long way to a future with us as well. OK, you don't have to buy all the beer but getting yourself known is a good first step.

What are the requirements to get a turbine Beaver contract?

Pretty much the same, buy lots of Beer!

You need a minimum 1000 hours on floats, time on type, turbine time, amphib time would help but not necessary.

Anyone try out that water bomber game? I made it to level 3 but can't make it further.

Man the weather must be bad here in Manitoba, I think I have logged more hours on that game than flying in the last week!!

Ski Bum, it is way to hard for me! I keep crashing so I think I'll stick to the real thing as it is a lot easier.

Weather in Northwestern Ontario is about the same. Imagine +2C here today, Jan 3rd. If it stays like this, I'll have to go back to work and that would cut in on my play time!!
