Re: E2 FO hiring
Applied aug 15, interview on 17. Hired for sept 8. They are hiring aggressively on the e2 if you fit the requirements they are looking for. Coming off the dash

I'm still sitting "Under Review" after several weeks
Re: E2 FO hiring
Have my interview coming up this week, any interview questions or tips you can give? Anything is appreciated.

Lot of their questions will come from how you scored on the ADAPT assessment which you complete before the interview. They like to see consistency in someone answers, if someone else did your ADAPT assessment online they will find out by the way you answer the interview questions.

Research STAR interview answers. Think of situations in your career that are me memorable, both good and bad, and what did you learn from it.
Re: E2 FO hiring
How long did it take to hear back from Porter with an offer after the interview?
Re: E2 FO hiring
Had an interview july 15 rejected a couple weeks after. I reapplied last month and they said thanks for your continued interest please send in your documents. I was a little surprised, my question is has anyone been rejected and got a 2nd interview? or is this just an auto reply? I originally applied multiple times and rejected without document request before I got the interview.

You seem to be overthinking. Just do as you’re being asked which is send in your documents. You may be a pain to fly with. If a captain asked you to do something and you do this it’s not good. Just do as asked, send in your documents.danno wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2026 9:02 pm Had an interview july 15 rejected a couple weeks after. Re: E2 FO hiring
I heard there were new hires offered yvr base recently. Can anyone confirm that? Thanks.

Re: E2 FO hiring
Not at initial hire date. All e2 is hired at YYZ
At the moment. However, most junior FO to be moved to YVR is less than 3 months. I believe still in training.
Edit: it’s probably more like 6 months to get YVR but it’s certainly happening. Depending on commercial flying decision it could be faster
Re: E2 FO hiring
Anyone know how long it usually takes for Porter to get back to you following an interview? Had one over 1.5 weeks ago, I see on the online dashboard it still shows application "under review".

Did you do the ADAPT assessment in the days following the interview? That’s typically the step after the interview.

"You may be a pain to fly with". Man what an unhelpful rude comment. He's just asking about the process, that's what av Canada is for.dustyroads wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2026 3:17 amYou seem to be overthinking. Just do as you’re being asked which is send in your documents. They actually made me do the assessment a couple days before…dustyroads wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2026 4:16 amDid you do the ADAPT assessment in the days following the interview? That’s typically the step after the interview.
Re: E2 FO hiring
1) How many years to upgrade on the embraer based on current seniority numbers or forecasted hiring?
2) do you have a bunch of CPL’s that require a captain upgrade on the Embraer in order to ‘obtain’ their ATPL as per the new TC rules?

Re: E2 FO hiring
Upgrades at sitting at 3 years ish, depending on flight time history. It isn’t a walk in the park upgrade, you gotta show up prepared.
2) no, none of this ATPL nonsense is happening at the moment
Re: E2 FO hiring
The reason I ask about the upgrade for the CPLs that you might have on property is that - I noticed you guys are hiring atpl holders, OR SARON+SAMRA written only. Unless this has changed?CaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2026 8:31 amUpgrades at sitting at 3 years ish, depending on flight time history. Interviewed around the same time too, any updates on your end? Still under review as well.

You can upgrade and get your ATPL simultaneously if all you’re missing is the PIC PPC.

Re: E2 FO hiring
I was told the next class was Nov 30th and they would get back to me within 2 weeks of the interview. That being said, with the course not for another 8 weeks I wouldn't be surprized if it took a bit longer.

Re: E2 FO hiring
Correct. I was just asking if Porter had candidates that reflect this situation, which sounds like a yes, just like most other 705s etc.Doggtown88 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2026 4:50 pmHysteria wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2026 9:18 amThe reason I ask about the upgrade for the CPLs that you might have on property is that - I noticed you guys are hiring atpl holders, OR SARON+SAMRA written only.
