"Despite repeated attempts by Monarch Scheduled staff to calm the individual, the passenger's behaviour did not improve and the decision was taken to divert to Porto Santo
Where are the "repeated" attempts..The unidentified man swore at crew and passengers after being refused a bottle of wine
Shit, farking PC bullshit, just give the guy his fucking bottle, and he'll shut the @#$! up....
Airline policy to refuse him booze because of whatever their reason... Just give him the bottle...
I haven't seen the airlines toss a baby out the window for screaming and hollering and irritating passangers...

What happened to the good old days? In one of my old companies a guy got drunk and tried to beat up fellow passengers and kick out the emergency exit. The FO happened to be on the Provincial rugby team and went back, cracked him one and proceeded to hold him in a headlock until they arrived safely at their destination!

No, he can control his booze. The article stated he had his tantrum AFTER he was refused booze...No Conflict wrote:Ummm, No....if the guy can't hold his booze and gets this disruptive over something like this, imagine when he gets really blitzed?Shit, farking PC bullshit, just give the guy his fucking bottle, and he'll shut the @#$! up....

Funny how the Fat people biatch and complain about "obesity being a disease" well guess what, if that's true, so is "alcoholism." I'm guessing if he got his bottle he would have been fine, it's like a baby and his pacifier take it away, they cry give it back and they suck on it...
We'll never know if the outcome had they just given him his bottle. But my opinion is that most people spaz when they don't get what they want not when they do get what they want....
I was cut off once on a flight from Mexico City to Chicago and all the Aero California Stewie did was give me a frozen beer as opposed to my double scotch. Smart move on her part as it took me the rest of the flight trying fo figure out how to get the frozen Modelo out of the can.
